CCU and Fulbright Taiwan Co-host LinkUp Immersive English Camp--A New Platform for Cross-Institutional Learning and International Exchange

publish date : 2026-06-26

To strengthen students’ international communication skills and support the 2030 Bilingual Policy, the Center for Language Studies and the CCU EMI Resource Center at National Chung Cheng University partnered with Fulbright Taiwan to host the “LinkUp: EMI Academic & Cultural Exploration Camp” on June 22–23. Conducted entirely in English, the camp provided an immersive platform for academic communication, cross-cultural exchange, and career development.
Led by Fulbright Taiwan advisors, the program included workshops on public speaking, personal statements, emails and letters of recommendation, as well as sessions exploring American culture. Through interactive activities and teamwork, students strengthened English communication skills, expanded cultural awareness, and gained practical language-use experience.
Dr. Randall Nadeau, Executive Director of the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange, attended the opening ceremony and introduced Fulbright Taiwan’s efforts in promoting Taiwan-U.S. academic exchange and scholarship opportunities. Dr. Gina Wen-Chun Chen, Director of the Center for Language Studies, and Dr. Sherri Wu, Head of the Foreign Language Division, also highlighted CCU’s commitment to bilingual education and international engagement.
The camp welcomed students from CCU as well as neighboring institutions, including National Chiayi University and Nanhua University. Marking another milestone in the partnership between CCU and Fulbright Taiwan, the program reflects CCU’s ongoing efforts to expand regional access to international educational resources and foster cross-university collaboration.
