North and South Giants Convene: NTU E-Shi-Pan Alumni Association Visits CCU College of Management EMBA
"Virtue is not left to stand alone; it will always have neighbors." A warm welcome was extended to the NTU E-Shi-Pan Alumni Association.
NTU in the north, CCU in the south—a long-awaited and perfect alignment. On June 17, the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program at the National Chung Cheng University (CCU) College of Management joined forces with the National Taiwan University (NTU) E-Shi-Pan Alumni Association, convening at the Chenbro Lecture Hall at the CCU College of Management.
Led by Ming-Hui Hsieh, Professor and Deputy Dean of the Office of Innovation and Non-Degree Programs at the NTU College of Management, the NTU E-Shi-Pan Alumni Association visited CCU. Expressing deep gratitude to the many parties who facilitated this connection, the CCU College of Management EMBA program welcomed its guests with unparalleled local warmth and enthusiasm.
Both the NTU E-Shi-Pan and the CCU EMBA programs bring together top-tier elites and benchmarking entrepreneurs who possess cross-disciplinary vision and social influence. This gathering represented a fusion of wisdom between two titans of the north and south. Whether through the collision of management philosophies, the integration of industry resources, or heartfelt dialogues among executive peers, the seminar sparked brilliant ideas, lighting a fire that promises to shape the future.
Deep appreciation was extended to the NTU E-Shi-Pan Alumni Association for recognizing the dedication of the CCU College of Management. Through the overview presented by Dean Ya-Hui Lien, and viewed from the perspective of high-level executives, it was clear that the faculty and students of the CCU College of Management were relentlessly pursuing excellence, walking hand-in-hand on the journey toward a better future.
Management Challenges in an Age of Geopolitics and AI
In the face of shifting international dynamics, no one is a bystander. Chia-Wen Hsu, Professor and Deputy Dean of the CCU College of Management, shared insights with the guests on "Management Challenges Under the Waves of Geopolitics and AI."
Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, which commands over 60% of global foundry capacity and nearly 90% of the world's most advanced manufacturing processes, has become the geopolitical epicenter of technological competition. Every move impacts the global AI industry, giving Taiwan a pivotal role in the global supply chain and making it a strategically vital region. Amid these turbulent times, Taiwan has demonstrated resilient strength under pressure.
Facing the AI wave, past experiences are no longer just fixed variables. Leaders must learn to think outside the box, temporarily step away from familiar perspectives, and recalibrate how they view the world. In actual decision-making and applications, environmental shifts, data errors, and even the randomness of AI become unexpected independent and dependent variables that influence outcomes. What truly matters is mastering how to solve problems amid uncertainty.
A Campus Tour of CCU's Iconic Landmark
To give the NTU E-Shi-Pan alumni a deeper appreciation of the CCU campus, the itinerary included a visit to the university library. The alumni were deeply impressed by its grand architectural facade and tranquil interior spaces, taking their time to enjoy the unique academic atmosphere.
"Gathered together, we form a roaring fire; scattered apart, we shine like a sky full of stars." Through this exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime gathering, the CCU EMBA program and NTU E-Shi-Pan forged a lifelong bond, committing to be partners and comrades-in-arms for a lifetime.
