National Chung Cheng University (CCU) hosted an information session for the "2026 Geneva Global Leadership Programme (GLP)" on the 26th, attracting students interested in international affairs and sustainable development. The GLP was scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from August 14 to 27, 2026, as a two-week intensive international learning program. Registration details were available at https://reurl.cc/4lp16V.

The GLP focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural learning model, the program guided students in understanding global governance frameworks and cultivated their analytical skills and policy-oriented thinking in addressing complex international issues. The curriculum included lectures by experts from international organizations, field visits to UN-related agencies, and group policy research and presentations, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice.

Lichia Saner-Yiu, President of the Centre for Socio-Eco-Nomic Development (CSEND) in Switzerland, and Director Raymond Saner visited the campus to explain the program's content and international opportunities. Both parties expressed high praise and positive expectations for this collaboration. The President noted that the GLP was committed to cultivating future leaders with a global perspective and cross-disciplinary integration capabilities, promoting students' integrated understanding of economic, environmental, and social issues through diverse learning designs. The Director also shared that the program emphasized teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills, incorporating digital tools and artificial intelligence to assist students in proposing feasible policy recommendations.

Hui-Ling Shih, Executive Director of the Office of Social Responsibility, stated that by hosting this information session, the university hoped to encourage students to actively participate in international learning, expand their global vision, and apply what they learned locally to practice university social responsibility. In the future, the university would continue to link international resources, strengthen students' interdisciplinary learning and practical abilities, and cultivate talent with sustainable thinking and action capabilities.
