publish date : 2026-04-14

The Advanced Institute of Manufacturing with High-tech Innovations (AIM-HI) and the Language Center of National Chung Cheng University (CCU) recently visited Delta Electronics (Thailand) in Bangkok to conduct a midterm review and exchange for the “Industry–Academia Talent Development Program.” The visit highlighted the program’s milestones and further strengthened bilateral cooperation in international talent development.

The delegation was led by Dr. Terng-Yau Her, Vice President of CCU and Director of AIM-HI. Members included Dr. Yong-Song Chen, Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Head of the International Cooperation Division of AIM-HI; Dr. Wen-Chun (Gina) Chen, Director of the Language Center; and Dr. Hsin-Hui Chen, Head of the Chinese Language Division. The delegation was received by Mr. Amit Dubey (Sunny), Head of the International Internship Program at Delta Electronics Thailand, along with representatives from the HR and project teams.

Launched at the end of 2025, the program selected 20 students from Kasetsart University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in Thailand to study in Taiwan. These students undertook internship research and professional coursework within CCU’s College of Engineering, while completing 360 hours of Chinese language training. Fully funded by Delta Electronics, the program establishes a comprehensive talent development model of “training, studying in Taiwan, and employment after returning home,” smoothly transitioning students into careers within the company upon their graduation and return.

This midterm review specifically featured the participation of the Language Center team, which provided a comprehensive presentation on the students’ language learning outcomes. During the meeting, the team reported on the students’ progress in Chinese language acquisition over the past four months and outlined future course curricula. A video presentation was also shown to showcase the students’ academic and daily life experiences in Taiwan. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on sustaining Chinese language training and expanding future collaboration in international talent development.

Delta Electronics expressed strong recognition of the program’s midterm achievements and expected students to reach the TOCFL A2 to B1 level by its conclusion. Furthermore, the company looked forward to continuing such international industry–academia talent development initiatives and deeply strengthening its long-term collaboration with CCU.
