Important International Dialogue: Leaders of the India Taipei Association Visited National Chung Cheng University
Recently, Ninad S. Deshpande, Director General of the India Taipei Association (ITA), visited National Chung Cheng University (CCU) together with Vinayak Prataprao Chavan, Deputy Director General of the India Taipei Association, for a formal exchange with university faculty members.
This meaningful visit further strengthened the longstanding partnership between both sides and reflected a shared commitment to advancing talent development, research collaboration, and international academic exchange.
The delegation was received by Pao-Ann Hsiung, Dean of the College of Engineering, together with Michael Chan, Dean of the College of Science; Chih-Yi Chiu, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering; Shi-Ming (Jack) Huang, Director of the Center for e-Commerce and e-Manufacturing; Yao-Ting Huang, Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering; Yuan-Kang Wu, Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering; Yong-Song Chen, Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Min-Chieh Lin; Janne-Wha Wu; Jia-Lin Kang; Vipin Saini; Nidhi; Anurag Dahiya; and Ayush Pratap, along with other faculty members. Discussions focused on key areas including smart city development, technology applications, industry–academia collaboration, and talent cultivation, further reinforcing the strong Taiwan–India collaborative network built over the years.
Following the meeting, Ninad S. Deshpande and Vinayak Prataprao Chavan also visited the AI Center and engaged in dialogue with Indian faculty members and students on campus. Representatives including Nidhi, Devesh Barshilia, Ayush Pratap, Akash Raj Patel, and Basil Rari shared their learning and research experiences in Taiwan.
Ninad S. Deshpande also encouraged students, Indian faculty members, and postdoctoral researchers to serve as “academic ambassadors” for India, using their expertise and actions to foster deeper international understanding and cooperation.
This visit by the Representative of India in Taiwan to National Chung Cheng University not only highlighted CCU’s strong capabilities in international research collaboration and advanced talent cultivation but also further showcased the University’s long-standing achievements in promoting cross-border academic exchange and translating technology into real-world impact. Under the leadership of Shaw-Jenq Tsai, President of National Chung Cheng University, CCU will continue to deepen engagement and collaboration with international partners, integrating academic research with industry development to create outcomes with greater global impact.
