To encourage short-term interns and exchange students to pursue further studies in Taiwan, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), in collaboration with the Colleges of Science and Engineering, organized the 2025 Briefing Session on Further Studies in Taiwan.
The session was hosted by Prof. Van Linh Nguyen, Head of the OIA’s Division for International Students, and featured two distinguished speakers — Prof. Alan Liu, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, and Prof. Cheng-I Lee from the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Both professors introduced the unique features, admission requirements, and academic advantages of the programs offered by their respective colleges.

Prof. Liu gave a detailed introduction to CCU’s INTENSE Program, highlighting its scholarship opportunities, living allowances, Mandarin proficiency requirements, and post-graduation employment with designated partner companies. He also emphasized that the College of Engineering offers more than 216 EMI courses, providing international students with a language-friendly learning environment. In addition, he noted that CCU’s excellent faculty, strong research capacity, and ecologically diverse campus make it an ideal place for international students to study and live.

Prof. Lee, on the other hand, focused on the theme of “Cultural Diversity and International Integration.” She introduced CCU’s vibrant international student associations, cultural festivals, and the representation of international students across different colleges, showcasing the university’s inclusive and multicultural environment. Prof. Lee further emphasized that CCU not only values academic excellence but also fosters intercultural understanding and meaningful exchanges, leaving a lasting impression on visiting students.

The session concluded with a presentation by OIA staff members, who explained in detail the procedures for admission and scholarship applications, followed by a Q&A session with students. The event deepened participants’ understanding of CCU and Taiwan’s higher education system, while inspiring more international students to continue their academic journey in Taiwan and further strengthening CCU’s global engagement.
