The Department of Business Administration at National Chung Cheng University hosted the opening ceremony of the fourth "Diligence and Integrity Lecture Series" on April 18. Kicking off this year’s program was a keynote speech by Mei-Hua Wang, Independent Director of Taishin Financial Holding Co., Ltd. and former Minister of Economic Affairs. Her presence drew a full house, with faculty and students attending enthusiastically. Now in its fourth year, the lecture series continues to strengthen academia-industry collaboration, aiming to deepen students’ understanding and application of real-world issues and cultivate managerial talent equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

The "Diligence and Integrity Lecture Series" is co-organized by the Department of Business Administration and Mei-Chi Chen, Chairwoman of Chenbro, widely known as the "Queen of Electronic Casings." Since its inception, the series has been highly acclaimed, with over 1,500 student participants attending lectures, company visits, and competitions. The program invites leaders from various industries to share their career paths and management experiences on campus, blending theory with practice to help students develop cross-disciplinary knowledge frameworks and broaden their career outlook and industry awareness.

This year’s lectures focus on cultivating students’ cross-domain agility. Through speaker insights, students gain in-depth perspectives on the evolving global economy in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) era, the diverse developments in cross-industry business operations, and the application of AI in driving innovation. Industries represented include technology, services, food, biotechnology and healthcare, and cultural and creative sectors, offering students invaluable opportunities to engage with diverse viewpoints and practical challenges.

Dean Lien emphasized that the “Diligence and Integrity Lecture Series” serves not only as a key platform for dialogue between academia and industry, but also helps students enhance their practical understanding and boost their competitiveness in the job market.

Chairwoman Mei-Chi Chen, the key supporter of the series and long-time advocate for local education, has collaborated with National Chung Cheng University since 2022 under the philosophy of "rooted in the local, cultivating talent." She expressed hope that by sharing real-world insights from business leaders, the lecture series would create a forward-looking and hands-on learning platform. Through exposure to diverse industry perspectives, young students can gain valuable knowledge, strengthen their skills, and be better prepared to face future challenges.
