President Shaw-Jenq Tsai of National Chung Cheng University Visits Tottori University to Deepen Bilateral Academic Collaboration

In an effort to promote academic exchange and substantive collaboration between National Chung Cheng University (CCU) and Tottori University in Japan, CCU President Prof. Prof. Shaw-Jenq Tsai paid an official visit to Tottori University on April 24, 2025, at the invitation of its newly elected President, Prof. Dr. Tasuku Harada. During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation and signed a Letter of Intent between Universities.
On the day of the visit, President Tsai first paid a courtesy call on President Harada at the university headquarters, where they jointly attended the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding, marking a new chapter in the partnership between the two institutions. President Tsai later visited the university’s renowned Arid Land Research Center, where he exchanged views with the research staff and gained insights into their current projects and potential avenues for future collaboration.
President Harada and President Tsai have maintained a long-standing academic friendship. Having recently assumed office in April 2025, President Harada extended a formal invitation to President Tsai to visit Tottori University, underscoring the mutual commitment to advancing bilateral ties. Both institutions look forward to leveraging this visit to foster meaningful cooperation in education, research, and student mobility, and to jointly expand new frontiers in international higher education.
