National Chung Cheng University's Annual Job Fair Kicks Off, Offering Thousands of Employment Opportunities

The annual recruitment event at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) officially began in March, with the job fair on the 14th featuring 75 companies setting up booths on campus. Representatives from various industries personally interacted with students, introducing their company cultures, benefits, and job openings. Additionally, over the course of the month, up to 34 corporate presentations, diverse internship briefings, and job fairs are scheduled to provide students at CCU with opportunities to find jobs that align with their future aspirations.

Starting at 10 AM on the day of the event, crowds continuously streamed into CCU's Cercis Avenue to participate in the job fair and learn about companies, handing in resumes on the spot. According to the CCU Career Development Center, unlike in previous years where companies primarily from the tech industry would apply to participate, this year the team actively invited a broader range of companies in response to feedback from various academic departments. The tech industry also offered a variety of positions not limited to STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math), allowing students from different academic backgrounds to consult with companies at the fair and find suitable job openings.

The Career Development Center emphasized that in addition to professional skills, language proficiency is a fundamental element for standing out in the job market. Whether joining multinational corporations, foreign firms, or collaborating with international teams, a global perspective and language skills are essential. CCU promotes EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) teaching to internationalize students' professional areas and has also specifically marked companies with international positions, facilitating interactions at their booths for interested students.

This year, for the first time, a student planning team at CCU helped gather internship information, sorting it from the perspective of the younger generation and sharing it through widely used social media platforms like Instagram and related Facebook groups. By sharing internship opportunities and experiences from other users, students not only receive information but also become messengers themselves. This approach to organizing internship information is more aligned with the habits of young people today and highlights the proactive and enthusiastic participation of students.
