To welcome new students for the 2026 academic year, the Division of Extra-Curricular Activities at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) hosted the Student Clubs and Organizations Fair and the Student Club Welcome Night on September 1 and 2. Featuring a diverse array of student organization activities, these events officially launched the freshmen's university journey.

Departing from traditional formats, this year’s Student Clubs and Organizations Fair featured a specially designed role-playing game (RPG) experience titled “Purple Wisteria Newbie Village.” Student clubs across campus were transformed into four distinct guilds—Adventurers, Bards, Magic & Knowledge, and Traveling Merchants—inviting incoming students to step into the roles of adventurers and embark on a campus exploration quest.

Beyond visiting the four guilds to collect basic points, the event offered 12 limited-time non-player character (NPC) booths marked with yellow exclamation points, where students could unlock hidden quests. By interacting with club members and completing tasks, participants earned points that could be redeemed for exclusive gifts upon accumulating five points.

Through this gamified format, new students moved beyond passive club browsing. They actively engaged with current students, discovering the unique characteristics of various organizations while exploring their own personal interests. The fair thus served as an engaging "newbie village adventure" full of discovery. Additionally, on September 1, a "Lunch Break Special" pop-up performance offered students up-close entertainment, highlighting the passion, vitality, and creativity of CCU’s club community.

The highly anticipated Student Club Welcome Night took place on the evening of September 2 at the Auditorium of the Student Activity Center. As a flagship annual event drawing wide student participation, this year’s showcase brought together CCU’s most distinctive organizations for an energetic spectacle blending music, dance, martial arts, and stage performances.

The featured roster included the CCU Cheerleading Club, Choir, Chinese Orchestra Club, Orchestra Club, Percussion Club, Jazz Music Club, Anime Club, Hip-Hop Club, Guitar Club, Street Dance Club, Korean Culture Club, Rock Music Club, Fire Arts Club, and Chinese Martial Arts Club. Each group delivered a signature performance, showcasing the artistic diversity and dynamic energy of CCU students.

From their initial quest in "Purple Wisteria Newbie Village" to the spirited celebrations of Welcome Night, CCU’s 57 student clubs infused energy into the start of the freshmen's academic path. The Division of Extra-Curricular Activities expressed its hope that every incoming student will have the courage to try new things, explore the unknown, and discover their own stage throughout their four-year university journey.

All incoming CCU students were warmly invited to participate in the festivities, turn the first page of their university journey, and express the unique vitality of their youth.
