publish date : 2026-07-24

Students from National Chung Cheng University (CCU) achieved outstanding success in the 2nd Asia Asset New Star Innovation Strategy Proposal Competition, organized by the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance. Their proposal, "Global Wealth, Local Growth: The EAM Cross-Border Capital Governance Platform," stood out among numerous competing teams, earning the Top Prize and a cash award of NT$50,000.

The award-winning team brought together students from the Department of Finance and the Master's Program in Financial Technology, exemplifying the university's commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration. Working across different areas of expertise, the team developed the proposal from initial concept and business model design to financial planning, policy analysis, and presentation delivery. Through extensive discussion and refinement, they successfully transformed their ideas into a comprehensive and competitive proposal.

The proposal focused on the growing demand for cross-border wealth management among high-net-worth individuals as Taiwan advances its vision of becoming an Asian Asset Management Center. Centered on the concept of External Asset Managers (EAMs), the team proposed an innovative cross-border capital governance platform designed to move beyond conventional wealth management. The platform offered a one-stop solution integrating global asset allocation, cross-border credit transformation, and industrial investment, while promoting a more comprehensive approach to cross-border financial services.

In addition to supporting the policy direction of Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission, the proposal highlighted the importance of strengthening the link between financial services and the real economy. It demonstrated the students' deep understanding of financial innovation, cross-border asset management, and emerging industry trends, as well as their forward-looking vision for the future of the financial sector.

According to the Dean of the College of Management, participating in proposal competitions and engaging with industry professionals provided students with invaluable practical experience, helping them strengthen their professional expertise while enhancing their career competitiveness. The faculty members who supervised the project also witnessed the students' remarkable growth as they translated classroom knowledge into a successful real-world solution.

CCU has long been committed to cultivating interdisciplinary talent by encouraging students to integrate academic knowledge with industry needs through project-based learning, practical competitions, and industry-academia collaboration. The team's achievement in this national competition not only demonstrated their excellence in finance, innovation, and interdisciplinary teamwork, but also reflected the university's longstanding dedication to practice-oriented education and talent development.

Looking ahead, CCU will continue to support students' participation in professional competitions and experiential learning opportunities, empowering them to stay ahead of industry trends while developing the professional expertise, innovative mindset, and global perspective needed to become future leaders in the financial sector.
