The alumni service network of National Chung Cheng University (CCU) marked another major milestone! The CCU Chiayi County Alumni Association held its inaugural assembly on May 30. Witnessed by CCU President Shaw-Jenq Tsai, numerous faculty members, representatives from the General Alumni Association, and various regional alumni chapters, alongside distinguished guests and alumni, the association was officially established. This milestone symbolized the deepening roots of CCU’s influence in the local community and marked a significant step forward in expanding the university’s alumni service network.

A Gathering of Distinguished Guests Demonstrated Strong Alumni Solidarity

The inaugural assembly attracted alumni representatives from across the nation to celebrate this momentous occasion. In addition to university faculty, the event brought together the President of the General Alumni Association, Yi-zhen Chen, its board of directors and supervisors, the Honorary President, and representatives from regional alumni chapters in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.

Furthermore, Jin-shu Chen, Chairman of the CCU Academic Foundation; Jin-hua Tsai, President of the EMBA Association; Jin-cai Fan, President of the Friends of CCU Association, and his wife; faculty members from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology; and representatives from the Chung Yuan Christian University Chiayi County Alumni Association also attended to grace the event. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious, fully showcasing the tight emotional bonds and high level of solidarity among CCU alumni.

Sound Organizational Structure: Business Administration Alumnus Wei-di Lin Elected First-Term President

The assembly successfully conducted its first election for the board of directors and supervisors, with Wei-di Lin, an alumnus who graduated from the Graduate Institute of Business Administration in 2000 (Class of 89), elected as the inaugural President by a landslide vote. Lin had long been enthusiastically dedicated to alumni affairs and was highly recognized across various sectors. He expressed that he would lead the board of directors and supervisors to continuously deepen local services, transforming the Chiayi County Alumni Association into a crucial platform for uniting local alumni, sharing resources, and fostering collaboration.

As the alumni population continued to grow, the establishment of the Chiayi County Alumni Association not only built an interactive bridge for alumni in the Chiayi area but also perfected the overall organizational structure of the university’s alumni network. Moving forward, the association would work hand-in-hand with the General Alumni Association and other regional chapters to strengthen cross-regional communication and cooperation, promote the sharing of experience, and amplify alumni support for the sustainable development of their alma mater.

Passing the Torch: A Sincere Invitation for Alumni to Join

As the alumni association turned to this exciting new chapter, the university would continue to integrate resources from all sectors to deepen the connection between alumni and their alma mater, jointly driving the sustainable growth of CCU.

The university sincerely invited all alumni who were registered, working, or residing in Chiayi County and Chiayi City to enthusiastically join the Chiayi County Alumni Association and leverage this platform to expand their networks and exchange experiences. At the same time, a heartfelt welcome was extended to this year’s fresh graduates to join their nearest regional alumni associations. By doing so, they could sustain the precious friendships forged at CCU, collectively strengthen the alumni network, and allow the impact of the CCU community to shine in every corner of society.
