publish date : 2026-03-23

The College of Management at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) recently held the opening ceremony and the inaugural lecture of the 5th "Chenbro Lecture Series" at the "Chenbro Lecture Hall." Dr. Chen-Wei Huang, General Manager of the Southern Business Division of the Bright Light Group, was invited as the keynote speaker. This lecture series represented a continuation of the successful industry-academia partnership between CCU and Chenbro Micom. The event was held at the "Chenbro Lecture Hall," which was completed and inaugurated in 2025, integrating concepts of sustainability and smart technology. It symbolized the deep integration of top-tier educational facilities with corporate practical experience.

Dr. Huang delivered a lecture titled "From Channel Advantage to Ecosystem Competition: The Path of Brand Upgrading for Local Lighting Enterprises," exploring how traditional industries could seek breakthroughs amidst the waves of ESG and smart homes with students and faculty.

Dean Ya-Hui Lien stated that this year's lineup of speakers was exceptional, featuring Dr. Chen-Wei Huang from the Bright Light Group; Mr. Ching-Pao Lin, General Manager of Aurora Cloud and Aurora Office Automation; Former NVIDIA Vice President and General Manager of Taiwan, Ms. Li-Meng Chiu; Dr. Yung-Fen Hsieh, Chairperson of MA-tek; Ms. Yung-Lan Hung, COO of Nan Fung Group Asset Management; and Mr. Tsung-Hao Chen, General Manager of Nandu Automobile.

The content of this year's lectures focused on assisting students in cultivating cross-boundary agility. Through the speakers' insights, students gained a deeper understanding of global economic changes in the VUCA era, the diverse development trends of corporate cross-boundary operations, and how to utilize AI to break through new situations. The organizers noted that the industries involved spanned lighting equipment, smart cloud, top-tier semiconductor technology, life services, and the automotive industry, providing students with valuable opportunities to encounter diverse perspectives and practical challenges. Dean Lien pointed out that the "Chenbro Lecture Series" was not only an important platform for academic-industry dialogue but also helped students deepen their practical understanding and enhance their career competitiveness.

Ms. Mei-Chi Chen, Chairperson of Chenbro Micom and the visionary leader behind the "Chenbro Lecture Series," has long been concerned with local educational development. Upholding the philosophy of "deeply rooting in the local community and cultivating talent," she partnered with CCU starting in 2022 to promote this lecture series with fruitful results. She expressed her hope that by sharing the experiences and practical viewpoints of corporate leaders, they could build a learning platform equipped with forward-looking vision and practical capabilities, allowing young students to draw nourishment from diverse industrial perspectives and build strength to meet future challenges.
