Celebrating Spring: CCU Hosts "Spring Tea Gathering" Amidst Golden Trumpet Trees

As spring arrived in March, the National Chung Cheng University (CCU) campus welcomed the blooming season of the golden trumpet trees. On the morning of the 17th, the "Spring Tea Gathering" was held on the campus Library Trail. Amidst the spring sunlight, tree shadows, and floral fragrance, the event invited faculty, students, and international students to experience the elegance and warmth of tea culture.

The event was specially organized to complement the blooming golden trumpet trees. Participants gathered along the Library Trail, enjoyed the fluttering petals and the vast lawn while exchanging ideas over tea, and immersed themselves in a tranquil spring atmosphere where natural scenery and aesthetics intertwined.

The tea service was hosted by tea master Tsui-Hua Lin from "Xiyuan Yaji," featuring the theme "Spring Flowers in Flight." She meticulously prepared various teas, including Sanxia Biluochun (Taiwan’s premium green tea), Dongding Oolong, and Wuhe Honey-scented Black Tea, allowing participants to savor the aromas and aesthetics of the tea ceremony. During the ceremony, the tea masters demonstrated brewing techniques, introduced tea flavors, and shared the spirit of "making friends through tea" inherent in Chinese tea culture.

International students were specially invited to participate. Through English-language exchanges, students from different countries shared their tea-drinking habits and cultural stories. This cross-cultural interaction added vibrancy to the tea ceremony, allowing Chinese tea culture to be appreciated in a relaxed setting.

An open tea-tasting area was also provided, allowing faculty and students passing by the Library Trail to stop, observe the ceremony, and enjoy a cup of cold-brewed tea, finding a moment of serenity amidst their busy campus lives.

The Library stated that it hoped to transform the campus into a space where culture and aesthetics could be experienced, rather than just a place for academic learning. It planned to continue hosting diverse cultural activities and invited faculty, students, and international friends to join in discovering more artistic moments on campus.
