CCU AI Center Deepened TEEP International Education by Visiting Aerospace Leader AIDC

publish date : 2025-10-17

To advance the Ministry of Education’s Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) and strengthen international exchange, the Research Center on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability (AI Center) at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) organized an industrial visit on October 16 to the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC)—Taiwan’s leading aerospace enterprise. Participants included students from Malaysia, France, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and Taiwan.
Led by Professor Pao-Ann Hsiung, Director of CCU’s AI Center, the visit fostered an industry–academia dialogue to help international students understand emerging trends in AI applications within advanced manufacturing. During the session, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion with Yi-Ting Fang, Director of AIDC’s Information Department, focusing on how Generative AI and AI Agents could enhance design innovation, knowledge integration, and decision-making efficiency. The dialogue underscored that AI was not merely a supporting tool but a key partner in driving industrial intelligence and transformation.
Professor Pao-Ann Hsiung highlighted that since the AI Center began implementing the TEEP program in 2017, it has hosted over 200 international interns, cultivating AI talents with cross-cultural vision and hands-on capabilities. He noted that this visit allowed students to witness Taiwan’s aerospace innovation spirit firsthand while experiencing the real-world value of AI in industrial transformation.
Participant Tushar from India shared, “This visit opened my eyes to how Generative AI can play a major role in design and communication—it really expanded my imagination of AI applications.” Meanwhile, Junaid from Malaysia remarked that AI Agents could facilitate collaboration across departments, noting it was an approach they could definitely learn from.
In the afternoon, the group visited Lukang Old Street in Changhua, where they explored the town’s rich history and cultural heritage through guided tours. The journey offered a holistic learning experience blending technology and culture, intellect and emotion.
