Dancing with Generative AI and Green Finance — 2025 International Conference for Financial Engineering Association of Taiwan Successfully Concludes
Co-hosted by the Financial Engineering Association of Taiwan (FeAT) and the Department of Finance at National Chung Cheng University, the "2025 International Conference for the Financial Engineering Association of Taiwan" was successfully held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the College of Management, National Chung Cheng University. The event gathered distinguished experts from both academia and industry, domestically and internationally, to share cutting-edge insights on financial technology and sustainable finance, making it a major annual event in the fields of financial engineering.
In his opening remarks, President Shaw-Jenq Tsai of National Chung Cheng University warmly welcomed all guests and emphasized the importance of close collaboration between higher education and industry to drive continuous innovation in financial engineering amid the waves of digitalization and sustainability. He noted that AI technologies and data science are unlocking unprecedented possibilities for financial research and called on scholars to boldly explore and implement innovative ideas.
Professor Robin K. Chou, President of the Financial Engineering Association of Taiwan, stated that the conference received an enthusiastic response, with around 80 papers selected for presentation after a rigorous review. The papers covered a wide range of cutting-edge and foundational topics, including digital currency, green finance, machine learning, derivatives, ESG, asset pricing, and corporate finance, showcasing the academic community’s strong engagement with global
trends.
To broaden international dialogue and deepen academic exchange, the conference invited several scholars from around the world, including experts from Singapore, the United States, Japan, and South Korea. These international participants contributed significantly to discussions on generative AI, green finance, and financial risk management, strengthening global academic collaboration and connectivity.
To promote the dissemination and development of outstanding research, the conference collaborated with three major journals to publish special issues: the international Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, the domestic TSSCI journal Sun Yat-sen Management Review, and the Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences. These special issues aim to enhance Taiwan’s academic influence in financial engineering through a rigorous peer review and publication process.
The organizers express their sincere gratitude to the National Science and Technology Council, the College of Management at National Chung Cheng University, the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the Taipei Exchange, the Taiwan Futures Exchange, the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation, Mercuries Life Insurance, and the PwC Education Foundation for their generous support in making this event a great success. FeAT will continue to establish a cross-disciplinary and international platform to promote in-depth dialogue between academia and industry, driving financial innovation and sustainable development.
