Memorandum of Understanding on the Exchange of Students Signed Between Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, National Chung Cheng University and Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology, Kanazawa University
To promote international academic exchange and collaboration, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) and the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology at Kanazawa University, Japan, formally signed an agreement for collaboration and memorandum of understanding on the exchange of students on November 21, 2024. The signing ceremony was officiated by Professor Yuan-Hsi Lee from CCU and Professor Seiya Nagao, Director of the Institute at Kanazawa University, marking the beginning of a close partnership in student exchanges and academic research.
In August 2024, Professor Hasebe Noriko and Professor Ochiai Shinya from Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology visited CCU and participated in the Earth Science Workshop hosted by the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. To further foster international interaction and establish a long-term collaborative relationship, the two institutions decided to sign the agreement. The agreement encompasses joint research, academic staff exchanges, and training programs. In terms of student exchange, up to three students from each institution can participate at the start of each academic semester. Participants will benefit from tuition and general fee waivers, academic guidance and consultation, as well as assistance with accommodation arrangements.
This collaboration not only strengthens the academic partnership between the two institutions but also broadens the international horizons of their students. Both sides look forward to opening a new chapter of cooperation between National Chung Cheng University and Kanazawa University.
