Delegation from RVRCOB Visits the College of Management at CCU

The Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVRCOB) at De La Salle University in the Philippines was invited to visit the College of Management at National Chung Cheng University. The delegation was led by Dr. Emilina Sarreal, the dean of RVRCOB, and included two associate deans, Dr. Cynthia P. Cudia and Dr. Francia Santos, as well as two assistant deans, Dr. Jessica Jaye Ranises and Dr. Patrick Adirel Aure. Department chairs from Accountancy, Marketing and Advertising, Financial Management, and Decision Sciences and Innovation, totaling 13 faculty members, attended the 15th Small and Medium Enterprises International Conference held from October 11th to 13th, 2024 in Chiayi County.

The delegation presented two academic papers and participated in four forums focusing on digital transformation and brand sustainability of SMEs. They also engaged in discussions with scholars from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan, exchanging insights on the research and practices of SME management worldwide.

On October 14, 2024, the day after the conference, the delegation visited the College of Management at CCU in Chiayi for follow-up discussions. Both sides delved into detailed conversations about AACSB accreditation, which is among the most esteemed business education accreditations globally. AACSB accreditation encompasses curriculum design, academic research, faculty standards, and the connections between academia and industry.

The College of Management at CCU has been proactively expanding its ties with renowned universities worldwide and has been striving to enhance international cooperation in academics and education since it received the AACSB accreditation.

The meeting aimed to promote mutual exchanges in the field of business education. As one of the leading education institutions in Southeast Asia, De La Salle University has been committed to advancing the development of the internationalization of business education. The delegation was hosted by Prof. Bella Ya-Hui Lien, Prof. Wen-Chang Lin, and Prof. Ming-Chang Cheng. Prof. Wen-Chang Lin shared CCU’s experience with AACSB accreditation, offering suggestions to assist RVRCOB in receiving accreditation. Both sides expressed the desire to strengthen academic cooperation and increase the international influence of both institutions.

Prof. Bella Ya-Hui Lien, Dean of the College of Management at CCU stated, "The Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business at De La Salle University is likely to become the second university in the Philippines to receive AACSB accreditation. We are honored to dive into the topic of AACSB accreditation with RVRCOB and to offer advice. This meeting strengthened our cooperative relationship, and we are looking forward to having more opportunities to create more exchange programs, dual-degree programs, and other research projects in the future." 

This meeting marks a further relationship between the two universities. Both sides are committed to maintaining close communication and cooperation, working together to promote the joint development of education and research, and realizing a long-term vision of mutual benefit.
